This is a leaf that is a heart shaped. It has red little spots that look very suspicious looking.
On the nature trail I saw a flower called Celandine. It has four petals and the color is yellow. At one point Celandine was used for liver disorders, also for removing warts and freckles. You can find Celandine in moist soil of roadsides, edges of woods, and around dwellings. Be careful – all parts of Celandine is toxic. Yellow stem juice irritates the skin!
On the Nature walk I saw a bird called the Blue Jay bird. It is blue and white and black. It has a very long tail. It is 10 inches long. Blue Jays have a black head and throat. If you ever see one they are very cool to look at.
Hello Readers! You are about to find out about the Ferns we spotted on the trail. I took a picture of them because they are signs of spring. Did you know if you see Ferns that means there is water nearby? We also did Fern rubbings. We put our Ferns under a paper and rubbed the paper with a green crayon. Thanks for reading.
I saw on the trail a lot of Touch-Me-Nots, Queen Ann’s Lace, and a shell of a Cicada. My favorite thing that I saw was the motor. When you touch a Touch-me-not it bursts out the seeds! It is awesome! Also, we had a scavenger hunt. We had to find as many things as we could that did not belong in nature.
