Cinnamon Ferns

We found Cinnamon Ferns on the trail. They live from April – June. They live in swamps, marshes and wet woods. They have large clumps of fronds and I central fertile frond with masses of spore cases. It got it’s name from the brown woolly tuft that looks like a cinnamon stick.
