Celandine

Cedlandine is part of the Poppy family. It’s in bloom April – August. It’s habitat is moist soil of roadsides. It has four petals. It’s range is Nova Scotia, New England, south to northern Georgia, and west to Tennessee and Missouri. It has lots of seed pods in June.

Dock

Dock can grow almost everywhere. Dock seeds are smaller than popcorn kernels and are shaped like 3D hearts. In spring the dock is green and changes to red when it gets colder outside. It can grow 30 inches tall and its leaf is shaped like a narrow shield. Geese ducks and other animals eat it.
